Brentwood Aged Care is devoted in helping residents age gracefully. They are being taken care of by having their needs effectively met by staff members without the need to relocate to other areas of the facility. Brentwood puts an emphasis on holistic care that will not only meet their physical needs, but also their mental, emotional, social, and spiritual welfare.
Brentwood Aged Care works with Allied Health professionals to provide a wide range of healthcare services which includes the following:
- Speech Pathologist
- Wound Consultant
Each resident has a specific Care Plan developed for them by a registered nurse upon admission. The Care Plan is reviewed at regular intervals or as needed.
Each resident has the right to be attended to by a GP of their choice, this is not the facility’s decision to make. Attending doctors are not employees of Brentwood Aged Care.
The Facility Manager manages and supervises the daily operations of the facility with the assistance of the Clinical Care Coordinator who oversees the delivery of clinical care services. Each care unit is supervised and managed by a registered nurse.
Our experienced and passionate nurses are able to offer individualised care and support inclusive of family and friends. With our care and communication with family, friends and GP, we work to help avoid unnecessary hospital admissions where possible.
Respite care is an important integral part of the services provided by Brentwood Aged Care. This type of care is given by full time healthcare professionals that can give peace of mind to family members that their loved ones are being cared for with respect, care, and compassion.
A professional on-site catering service provides fresh meals each day while taking into consideration the residents preferences, special dietary needs such as diabetic, lactose intolerant, gluten free, vegetarian etc. and seasonal produce availability.
The Chef develops seasonal four-week rotational menus in consultation with residents’ feedback and the menus are reviewed by a qualified dietitian to ensure maximum nutritional balance.
Our dining offering includes traditional favourites, international cuisines and themed menus celebrating cultural, sporting and family occasions.
In line with best dietary practices the main meal of the day is served at lunch, with dinner being a slightly lighter option.
Residents are provided the following dining offerings each day:
- Morning tea
- Afternoon tea
There are three available dining rooms for residents and their families to use. As might be the case, the resident still has the option to request their meals to be served in their room whenever they wish to. However, we encourage all residents to use the dining room so that they can also socialize with other people.
Our experienced and dedicated Lifestyle staff offer a variety of activities to choose from to keep you active and involved. The types of activities on offer include exercise groups, music groups, art and craft, news reading, entertainers, church services, table games, afternoon teas, lunches, and external outings
